A team-based, networked, 2D shooter set in zero-gravity
Leges Motus is a networked, team-based, 2D shooter set in zero-gravity. Using only the force from jumping off of walls and the recoil from their guns, players must travel across the arena to lower their opponent's gate.
Leges Motus is free and open source software. That means it's free to play, free to modify, and free to redistribute, provided you follow the terms of the GNU General Public License v2. The source code is open, meaning you can look at it, learn from it, improve it, and borrow it for your own open source project.
Leges Motus was originally developed in early 2009 as a software engineering project at Brown University by developers AGWA, Archaemic, DJS, and Greywhind. Dubbed the game that "ruined productivity in the Sunlab right before finals," Leges Motus was released in early May to the undergraduate computer science community for beta testing. After the school year was over, AGWA, Archaemic, and Greywhind continued the game's development as an open source project.
